<br />
I like to study fly patterns as much as I like to make stuff from trash. I know that's a big statement. I really like to make stuff out of the discards of modern society. We make a lot of trash a group. So I have become a observer of that pattern of behavior.<br />
<br />
I also have become interested in what did those that came before have to tie with? Their trash pile were considerably smaller. They didn't waste so much. Didn't have so much to waste either. Food didn't have wrappers and disposable goods weren't a thing yet.<br />
<br />
So what did they have to pick from? They were more agrarian. Farming was a thing that a larger population engaged in. So lets focus on natural items. Fur and feathers. If you ate it, it came in the wrapper God put it in.<br />
<br />
A lot of chickens.<br />
<br />
Chickens still rule supreme as the go to material. Dry flies and streamers and everything in between. Chickens wound up on the table. This lends to a lot of feathers at the end of the processing. I know they stuffed a good many into pillows. True enough. That still left a availability.<br />
<br />
Hunting the hill sides.<br />
<br />
Folks hunted. Deer and turkey. Turkey were obviously similar to chicken. Bigger feathers and colors. Deer hair and other large game could be saved. That hair has great buoyancy properties as well a movement when added to flies.<br />
<br />
Narrowing the focus.<br />
<br />
So after pondering the possibilities and resources I decided to tie a few with just those materials. I did take the liberty of using modern hooks and threads. I could bring myself to tie flies with cotton or wool threads. But I am sure the ancestors did just that.<br />
<br />
The next few flies I would like to show you will be tied with only stuff those fly fishers here in America had. My offering may be modern patterns but again only materials found in the time period 100 + years ago.<br />
<br />
Deciding factors.<br />
<br />
I live among a lot of farms and folks getting back to the land. Also have a good many friends who hunt. Chicken feathers from the barn yard. Deer hair from the fields. Those will be the focus of this experiment. I will share two chicken focused patterns and two deer hair offerings. They will not be dyed or genetically raised sources. Organic if I may.<br />

I really do. Recommend them highly. Suggest you try them if you have not.<br />

If you want to make your own try this.<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2QHoupyz_WA/WCCViqswo6I/AAAAAAAAOcA/jhKuQtjMgz8SDvJJu7zWbhkxYd79lw0GwCKgB/s1600/IMG_20161107_095111035_TOP.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2QHoupyz_WA/WCCViqswo6I/AAAAAAAAOcA/jhKuQtjMgz8SDvJJu7zWbhkxYd79lw0GwCKgB/s320/IMG_20161107_095111035_TOP.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well now. I like to tie CDC flies. They just have a action and performance that can't be matched with other materials.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
CDC can be a pain in the butt to work with, Some years ago I found out there was a tool for the taming of the feather from a ducks (well you know).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I bought one online. I keep it in a special spot when not in use. It's a work horse on the bench during comparadun tying, It was kinda hard to find. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well here's a Trashflies alternative. If you want to make one.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BWe5xBJt0wg/WCCViiXncEI/AAAAAAAAOcA/PXSwDSK7mxQ2b721gkrYYDGGPU2nWeB0wCKgB/s1600/IMG_20161107_094751608.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BWe5xBJt0wg/WCCViiXncEI/AAAAAAAAOcA/PXSwDSK7mxQ2b721gkrYYDGGPU2nWeB0wCKgB/s320/IMG_20161107_094751608.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kAYV079ne-A/WBCMJnYzC3I/AAAAAAAAOSc/ezqt-9Vy7LAlWu1FHrrJuNoae5ltXAMlACKgB/s1600/IMG_20161025_204208599.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kAYV079ne-A/WBCMJnYzC3I/AAAAAAAAOSc/ezqt-9Vy7LAlWu1FHrrJuNoae5ltXAMlACKgB/s320/IMG_20161025_204208599.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As many of your are aware lots of places we fish have great scud populations. Trout love to eat them. They reside in tail waters. One of my personal favorite spots to drown a bug.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well I was standing in line at a local little store buying supplies for another little experiment. That one was more teaching related so I'll not share here at this time. As I waited my turn I noticed this rack of hair rubber bands in a wide range of color. Flexible and thin rubber. So my mind ran to scuds and there shell back. Oh well that isn't weird for me. Got a pack or two. Cheap $1 for 500. Note you can make two or three per band. So lifetime supply. Also they come in clear and black.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In my favorite tail water the ________ _________ in ___________ purple seems to get a favored response. The actual shrimp alive in more of a mahogany. Dead washed out pink or orange,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's what came out of my find. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Step 7</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Rib with the wire. Tie down.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mcyfZN4iC1o/WAjTkebRWbI/AAAAAAAAOO4/wl--y5nc9SslDCo6rnvd4gRBodY_hbyKACKgB/s1600/IMG_20161020_101449725.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mcyfZN4iC1o/WAjTkebRWbI/AAAAAAAAOO4/wl--y5nc9SslDCo6rnvd4gRBodY_hbyKACKgB/s320/IMG_20161020_101449725.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Okay here is a little known fact about me. I can't wear flip-flops. Not at all. Fall on my butt and I hate the way they feel on my feet. But it appears I am in the minority of the population in the warm months. Slap slap slap goes the rest of the world. Well it appears also that a lot of these things get lost, broken, or abandon on the stream or lakes of the world.<br />
<br />
I collect them. Imagine that :)<br />
<br />
I cut cylinders as probably several of you do for poppers. Great bass and bluegill offerings indeed.<br />
<br />
Recently I started down the Tenkara path. I am trying to keep a simple technique as simple as possible. aka affordable.<br />
<br />
Above is some carving on some collected stock.<br />
<br />
Spools for my leaders. (I furled the leaders myself)<br />
<br />
Thought i would share. Tools shown are all that's needed. 'Stay Clever And Trashy My Friends'<br />

<br />
Ever break one of those inexpensive plastic cloths hangers? I do regularly. Well I did this morning. Noticed it was hollow. Probably why it broke.<br />
<br />
You can never have to many bodkins. Spread glue, clean eyelets, spread UV resin, and such.<br />
<br />
Had a box of T-pins. And here the idea that grew out of that.<br />
<br />
<img alt="Image result for plastic clothes hanger" src="http://www.clipartkid.com/images/20/clothes-hanger-clip-art-clipart-best-LGch9u-clipart.jpeg" height="259" width="400" /><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Fold back the pins T to the needles shaft. Heat the pin. Stick in the hole in the middle of the shaft. Cools and set. Cut shaft to your preference.<br />

<br />
I was looking at strike indicators with a open mind. Again.<br />
<br />
Strike indicators get a lot of thought and press through out the sport. There are so many styles available. You probably have your favorite. or favorite for different waters and conditions. Well I have mine. They have come from a variety of factors such as water speed, clarity, and fishing pressure. aka technical waters. I use a white 1/2" foam ball on clear or tail-water fish. Looks like a bubble and seems to not spook them.<br />
<br />
On rivers and less technical those little white balls can be hard to see or pick out from the bubbles. You'll go blind trying to find them.<br />
<br />
Been looking at these.<br />
<br />
<img alt="Serious Anglers Rastaman Strike Indicators" src="https://www.flyshack.com/images/items/Rasta_Strike_Indicator.jpg" /><br />
as seen on <a href="https://www.flyshack.com/DisplayItem.aspx?ItemID=22852">https://www.flyshack.com/DisplayItem.aspx?ItemID=22852</a><br />
<br />
So knowing I like to make stuff myself. Here's a idea that has developed from my research as well as just some go old Trash Fly hunting and tinkering.<br />
<br />
Materials List<br />
<br />
Dollar Tree: Foam sheets. (really thin) Really thin. $1.00<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://www.dollartree.com/assets/product_images/styles/large/977160_v1.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.dollartree.com/toys/Craft-Supplies/Crafters-Square-Foam-Sheets-32-ct-Packs/629c1102c1102p297383/index.pro?method=search">https://www.dollartree.com/toys/Craft-Supplies/Crafters-Square-Foam-Sheets-32-ct-Packs/629c1102c1102p297383/index.pro?method=search</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Rubber band from braces. (New ie un used) Around $1 per 100 ct.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img alt="Orthodontic Elastic Rubber Bands" src="http://askanorthodontist.com/braces/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Orthodontic-Rubber-Bands-300x216.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://askanorthodontist.com/braces/what-do-the-elastic-rubber-bands-on-braces-do/">http://askanorthodontist.com/braces/what-do-the-elastic-rubber-bands-on-braces-do/</a></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Tying thread and super glue.<br />
<br />
Recipe<br />
<br />
Step1<br />
Take the foam and make 6 cuts about 2". Up to you for length. Make six thin strips. That makes 12 after folded.<br />
<br />
Step 2<br />
Slip a rubber band from braces, In the middle.<br />
<br />
Step 3<br />
Fold. Wrap with thread above the band. Tye or simply add a drop of superglue.<br />
<br />
Testing it so on a couple of different bodies of water and situations.<br />
<br />
This is a cheap one and pretty quick to make.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

Hook: #16 Scud<br />
Bead: Brass or Tungsten<br />
Tail: Hackle scrap (Tan)<br />
Underbody: Red thread<br />
Overbody: Iridescent Christmas tensile<br />
Wingcase: Pheasant tale (webby part)<br />
Collar: UV Dubbing white<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Around Christmas and Easter this stuff is in abundance. Afterwards it seems to go to the waste bin. Just say no to the useless waste of awesome, free, tying materials. Makes good over-bodies. Also great wing-case covers. I say save it. In the featured fly the Rainbow Warrior it is some powerful stuff. If you are apprehensive of the Trash Fly ways you need to remember that free is pretty cheap :) Also your already looked at by non tyers a weird so grab the gold when you can.<br />
<br />
The rainbow warrior is a awesome trout pattern. I fished it in 'technical' tail-waters as well as easier streams. Produces like a champ.<br />
<br />

I got one as a gift awhile back. They are good for business cards. I kept looking at it though thinking it was the perfect size for a small stream flybox. Well I couldn't repurpose the gift. Despite wanting to :)<br />
<br />
Today at the little grocery store they had a plastic knock off. Just $3.00 US. I got two.<br />

OK. You have sunken further than some in the realm of fly tying than you likely want admit. Your making your own dubbing correct? Blending fur and fiber or lord knows what. You want to use your bounty but you haven't a good way to store or dispense it at the vise. Well here's your answer. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Simply get a small beaders container at the craft sore or 'Wal Mart'. Costs $1.75 per. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Drill a hole in the bottom of each cell. Drill to size that suits you. Maybe 1/4"?</div>

Glass Caddis,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
String 4 or 5 glass beads from the craft or jewelry supply store on a hook.</div>
<br />

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Put a few wraps of thread behind the beads and a drop of Super glue.</div>

Relatively cheap. Under $10 US. They have Velcro patch mounting points on the front, back, and often the top. This lead me to think why not buy one in my favorite camo pattern and maybe modify to use when I'm hiking in to back country streams as well as paddling on the lakes.<br />
<br />
So here's what I did:<br />
<br />
Bought the hat.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p6-40ChXJD8/ViQ5M2kRMSI/AAAAAAAAKEA/T3MzO3VPU2M/s1600/IMG_20151018_202040230.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p6-40ChXJD8/ViQ5M2kRMSI/AAAAAAAAKEA/T3MzO3VPU2M/s320/IMG_20151018_202040230.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Piece of thick closed cell foam. Cut to the size of the Velcro.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xsJ7l8TjxTU/ViQ5TNwIKcI/AAAAAAAAKEI/pHjxwhi2toE/s1600/IMG_20151018_202056861.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xsJ7l8TjxTU/ViQ5TNwIKcI/AAAAAAAAKEI/pHjxwhi2toE/s320/IMG_20151018_202056861.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IghlO1QKSUY/ViQ5MArMhZI/AAAAAAAAKD8/HoSFBuXrlBs/s1600/IMG_20151018_202111916_TOP.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IghlO1QKSUY/ViQ5MArMhZI/AAAAAAAAKD8/HoSFBuXrlBs/s320/IMG_20151018_202111916_TOP.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Attach a piece of like sized Velcro.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AKU6qYj5Tb4/ViQ5y9SDhmI/AAAAAAAAKEY/ejuSh6m6n_Y/s1600/IMG_20151018_202140306.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AKU6qYj5Tb4/ViQ5y9SDhmI/AAAAAAAAKEY/ejuSh6m6n_Y/s320/IMG_20151018_202140306.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now to field test it. I believe it would also do well to carry a minimal arsenal of flies for quick adventures when less is more.<br />
<br />
Opinions?<br />
<br />
Dedicated to my son, I love you.<br />

<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mwKlDtV01w8/VUwHq28vRzI/AAAAAAAAHcM/mcHDBYAETsE/s1600/IMG_20150507_203220263_HDR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mwKlDtV01w8/VUwHq28vRzI/AAAAAAAAHcM/mcHDBYAETsE/s640/IMG_20150507_203220263_HDR.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Okay I was tying some Woolly Buggers. Was able to get three per hackle. After a few I notice a little pile of short tips developing on the bench. Now we do not waste at Trashflies! So what to do?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After a sip and a slouch in my tying chair I remembered a conversation I was having with one of my students about local and regional flies. And one of those to the Appalachian Mountains here in Western north Carolina the Palmer. A very basic but oh so effective pattern.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Palmer is simply:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Recipe</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hook: #18 Dry Fly Hook</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thread: 14/0 Olive</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Dubbed body: PMD Yellow Fine and Dry</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hackle: Olive dyed Grizzly tip</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thread the hook.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Dub the body.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Tie in hackle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Palmer wrap hackle. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Tie down.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Whip finish.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Catch lots of fish :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-faF19J9c1nE/VUwTka-mJHI/AAAAAAAAHcg/hdJ_c-b9nVk/s1600/image.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-faF19J9c1nE/VUwTka-mJHI/AAAAAAAAHcg/hdJ_c-b9nVk/s320/image.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Yes it does have two cones. Experiment :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

That experience planted a deep growing seed of personal safety in my mind or it scared me mentally for life. Either way I am a big consumer of personal perspective equipment.<br />
<br />
One lasting idea from those days is to save my hearing. Thus as a consequence I wear ear plugs around every loud chore I do. By that there is always a stray ear plug in the change dish, laundry, or under the edge of the bed. Those lonely strays have sparked a couple of thoughts. Previously a ear plug as a 'popper's' head. Worked with a measure of success.<br />
<br />
With a idea behind me it seemed like there was more that could be 'Trash Flied' with those lonely ear plugs.<br />
<br />
Then it hit me, or more so I say someone on a outdoor show making 'bait rigs' with a float ahead of the hook. It looked like a egg bead. Those had become the rage in the Alaskan north over time. Well then lets make a 'Ear Plug Egg'. The following is that pattern.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ltir6mk7BRE/VHPQPCZ6WgI/AAAAAAAAF14/SfN8O7LZcAA/s1600/IMGP5093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ltir6mk7BRE/VHPQPCZ6WgI/AAAAAAAAF14/SfN8O7LZcAA/s1600/IMGP5093.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hook: # 8 Mustad Egg Hook</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Egg: Recycled Ear Plug</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Adhesive: Krazy Glue</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Step 1</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Select a ear plug that has the eggy colors you are looking for. Be aware that ear plugs are avliable other place beside industrial application. Drug stores carry them as well as noisy sporting events.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TsrYb_yguh8/VHPU6RmX2LI/AAAAAAAAF2E/PFmMfoUrcCI/s1600/IMGP5094.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TsrYb_yguh8/VHPU6RmX2LI/AAAAAAAAF2E/PFmMfoUrcCI/s1600/IMGP5094.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Step 2</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Shape the ear plug the size and rough shape you desire. Some multi-colored products have the colors through the materials.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: right;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PuUYA0w6h-0/VHPU6-6KGcI/AAAAAAAAF2I/pBZECBtFhGs/s1600/IMGP5095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PuUYA0w6h-0/VHPU6-6KGcI/AAAAAAAAF2I/pBZECBtFhGs/s1600/IMGP5095.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Step 3</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Select a hook for the tie. Remeber trout have a tendancy to swallow eggs deeply. Pick a hook big enough to help discourage harming the fish. Also pinch that barb down.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3xbGWPuwAEs/VHPU7Bs6QmI/AAAAAAAAF2Q/LMX73a_qv4w/s1600/IMGP5096.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3xbGWPuwAEs/VHPU7Bs6QmI/AAAAAAAAF2Q/LMX73a_qv4w/s1600/IMGP5096.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Step 4</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Slide the ear plug foam onto the bare hook shank. Place the hook in the vise. Slide the foam toward the bend of the hook. Apply a drop of glue behind the hook eye and slide the foam back to it's desired spot.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: right;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CSMLizCWzcg/VHPVADfzuTI/AAAAAAAAF2c/T_vaUC1OmhY/s1600/IMGP5097.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CSMLizCWzcg/VHPVADfzuTI/AAAAAAAAF2c/T_vaUC1OmhY/s1600/IMGP5097.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: right;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The egg can be shaped with scissors more at this point. Making the egg to perfect may appeal to the angler more than to the fish itself. Leave it a little uneven and jagged. The idea is a clump of roe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This would probably work with a yarn veil also.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Try it and tell how it worked for you. Like to hear 'you all's' comments.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Dedicated to my son. I love you.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
